Who We Are?
We are a father and son duo who have called CNY home since 2010. We initially moved to Manlius and now live in Dewitt.
Jake is now a 17-year-old soon to be high school senior with a passion for entrepreneurship.
Dave is an Emergency Physician and former Major in the US Army with a passion for the climate health.
Together our passions inspired us to create CompostRx - a residential food scrap collection service that returns compost to our customers and plants trees each month on their behalf.
We are proud to do our small part to tackle a contributor to Climate Change. We are equally proud to use a substantial portion of the monthly subscription fees to plant trees. Not only do these trees expand the climate impact of diverting food scraps into compost they also help provide a living to subsistence farmers in poverty-stricken parts of the world.
Help us meet our goal by the end of the year of diverting 20,000 pounds of food scraps from landfills and planting 3,000 trees each month.
